I am Benjamin Afeli, a Cancer Awareness Advocate driven by a deep personal mission: Saving lives through early detection.

My passion for cancer awareness was shaped by painful personal losses to cancer. These experiences exposed me early on to the devastating impact of late diagnosis and the silence that often surrounds cancer in our communities. From that moment, I knew I had to be part of the solution.

I spent several years working in National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in the United Kingdom within cancer departments. There, I witnessed firsthand how early detection, routine screenings, and timely intervention saved lives every day. These experiences strengthened my belief that cancer does not have to be a death sentence; when it is caught early, survival is possible.

Through this work, I am committed to turning awareness into action and ensuring that no one is denied a fighting chance simply because they lacked information or access. Early detection saves lives. Together, we can create a future where fewer lives are lost to cancer.
